Plumbers can earn in excess of £50,000 a year. Plumbers with many years experience can earn up to £100,000 a year. This training centre is a private establishment designed solely to train newcomers with hands on experience of the plumbing trade and DIY skills.
In the UK , there is a national shortage of plumbers. One of the reasons for the skill shortage is the lack of apprenticeships being offered to school leavers. The majority of plumbers are one man businesses that are reluctant to train an apprentice. Teaching an apprentice costs time and money. Also, once trained, the apprentices tend to leave and set up on their own, so due to the shortage, plumbers are over worked and can earn lots of money.
The Course consists of hands on practical exercises, for the most part, covering all aspects of plumbing. Theory work is important but it is more cost effective for you to carry this out at home. We will advise you of the most useful publications to read.
We will teach you how to install all the different types of heating systems, electric showers, baths and toilets. You will be guided and helped every step of the way, so there is no need to worry about how daunting it all sounds.
Our classes are small so you will receive a lot of one to one tuition if needed.
The only qualities you need are that you are fully committed to learning this lucrative new trade, then you can get out there on your own, earning whilst learning. You can either work for somebody else or start your own company, whichever option you chose we will help. We can put you in touch with companies that will take you on or help you set up your own business.
Even when you have finished your course we are only a phone call away, on completion we give you a technical helpline, so if you come across a problem we can help you solve it. You can even decide to go out with one of our team, to get some work experience for a few days or weeks, you can choose.
At the end of your course, you will be presented with a certificate. This course will leave you in good stead for your future in plumbing, be it NVQ training, working for another company, or setting up your own business.
Before you can apply for a college course in plumbing, you must have completed relevant experience. As companies are reluctant to train an apprentice, courses such as this are essential to begin your plumbing career. But there are no rules or laws stating that you need NVQs to work as a plumber. When you have been working on your own or for a company and gained some more experience as a plumber, you could apply to be assessed and become corgi registered, using your course certificate as proof of training.
